Privacy policy
Counts people. Not identities.
People Counter counts people without identifying them. Counting is performed on your iPhone. We do not create user accounts, recognize faces, build identity profiles, or upload camera images for analysis. The app has no advertising or developer-operated analytics service.
Camera, motion, and optional depth
Live video is processed in memory and is not recorded. Temporary anonymous tracks link detections long enough to validate crossings. They are discarded when a session ends or the camera resets. Motion data is used to assess steadiness; it is not retained as a movement history. On supported devices, optional depth assist uses camera depth information locally to filter detections by distance. Audio is never captured.
Photos and attendance records
You choose images through Camera, Photos, or Files. Photo processing occurs locally. Saving the source photo with a record is optional and off by default. If retained, photos use iOS file protection. Attendance, corrections, event groups, saved locations, and manual workspaces are stored locally and may be included in your device backup.
A saved location is a name and counting setup you provide. People Counter does not request your GPS location. The Photos picker shares only the images you select with the app; broad photo-library access is not requested.
Apple services and purchases
The app uses Apple StoreKit for in-app purchases and restoration. Apple handles payment and purchase-history information. People Counter uses transaction and entitlement information to unlock purchased features; QnSub does not receive your payment-card details or Apple Account password.
App-version lookup contacts Apple using the app's bundle identifier and storefront country. These requests do not include attendance data. Apple's processing is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
Sharing and exports
Reports and annotated images are exported only when you use export or share controls. Recipients and destinations you choose control the resulting copies. Review the content before sharing, especially when an export includes a photo.
Your controls and deletion
Delete individual records and their retained source photos in History. Use Settings → Reset to factory settings to remove local app data and preferences. This cannot erase Apple-owned purchase history, device backups, or copies previously exported. There is no QnSub account to delete.
Manage camera permission and device backups through your iPhone's Settings. You can use Manual Counter without camera access. Keeping source photos can be turned off in the app's counting preferences.
Contacting support
If you email support, QnSub receives the email address and any details or attachments you choose to send so we can respond. Avoid sending identifiable crowd photos or attendance exports unless they are necessary for your question. Support correspondence is separate from the app's local counting data.
Changes to this policy
If the app's privacy practices change, we will update this page and its effective date.
