Common questions
What does Timebox Tracker require?
Timebox Tracker supports iPhone and iPad on iOS or iPadOS 17 and later. It has no account, subscription, or third-party dependency. All core features work without an internet connection.
Why are only three tasks shown as priorities?
The first three tasks in your order are the active focus list. Drag tasks in Sort tasks to change the order, or use Move to first from a task menu. The remaining tasks stay in the queue until they move into the top three.
Which timebox lengths can I choose?
Choose 5, 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes for each task. Settings lets you choose the default duration for new tasks.
Does the timer keep running in the background?
Yes. A running session stores its deadline, so closing the focus screen, using another app, or relaunching Timebox Tracker does not restart it. A paused session stores the remaining time instead.
Why did I not receive a timer alert?
The timer itself does not require notification permission. Background deadline alerts do. Enable focus alerts in Timebox Tracker Settings and allow notifications in the system Settings app. Pausing, ending, or disabling alerts cancels the pending notification.
What happens when a timebox reaches zero?
Timebox Tracker asks what happened instead of silently marking the task complete. You can confirm completion, start another timebox, or keep the task in the queue for later.
Can I recover a completed task?
Yes. Open History and return a completed task to the queue. Session history remains available so the focused time is still represented accurately.
How do I export my data?
Open Settings and choose Export tasks as CSV. If the app imported history from an earlier HabitLoop development build, a separate legacy-history export is also available. The system share sheet controls where the file goes.
How do I delete my information?
Delete individual tasks from the task menu, or use Delete all data in Settings to clear tasks and history while retaining preferences. Reset to factory settings stops the timer, removes all task and history data, clears app alerts and cached exports, restores default preferences, and shows the feature tour again.
