VeroSpend Support

No. VeroSpend has no account system and no server. Onboarding sets up your first profile, salary, and budget allocation in a few taps, and you're in. Everything is stored locally on your device.

Yes — all logging, budgeting, goal tracking, net worth math, and reports work fully offline. The only things that touch the network are optional foreign-exchange rates for multi-currency display and Nearby Sharing between two iPhones (which uses your local Wi-Fi, not the internet). Both fail gracefully if offline.

It's a planner that takes your monthly net income and lets you split it into allocation buckets — housing, food, savings, debt, leisure, anything you want. Each bucket can be a fixed amount or a percentage. Bills can be monthly or yearly, with a "distribute across the year" option for things like tuition or insurance. A 12-month chart shows when your biggest expenses land.

You can create separate profiles for each person in your household (e.g. you + your partner). Each profile has its own accounts, budgets, and goals. A joint account belongs to two or more profiles and shows up in each ledger without being double-counted. The Over All view combines everything into a household-level picture.

Tap the microphone on the home screen and say something like "spent 320 on coffee at Starbucks". VeroSpend uses Apple's on-device Speech framework to transcribe and parse the amount, merchant, and category. Nothing is sent to the cloud.

From the new transaction sheet, tap the camera icon and point it at a receipt. VeroSpend uses Apple's on-device Vision OCR to read the merchant, date, and total. You can review and tweak the parsed values before saving. The photo is attached to the transaction locally if you choose to keep it.

All are optional and only asked when you use a feature that needs them:

• Camera — for receipt scanning and goal photos.
• Microphone & Speech — for Voice Quick Add.
• Photo Library — to attach receipts, payment screenshots, or save exported reports.
• Location — used once on first launch to detect your country and pick the right currency. Never saved.
• Face ID — to lock the app behind biometrics if you turn that on.
• Local Network — only for the optional Nearby Sharing flow between two iPhones.

You can revoke any of these any time in iOS Settings → Privacy.

On the Transactions screen, swipe left on any row to delete it. Tap the row to open it for editing — you can change the amount, category, account, merchant, date, attachments, and notes.

Loans, installments, BNPL items, recurring bills, and projected income all show up as pending transactions on their scheduled dates. They appear grayed out and don't affect account balances until you tap "Mark as paid". This lets you see what's coming without inflating your real cash position.

VeroSpend stores everything in the app's local SwiftData container. iCloud Backup will include it as part of the normal iPhone backup, and restoring a new iPhone from that backup brings VeroSpend's data with it. You can also use the built-in Export and Import flows to save CSV backups of your data, or hand-off between two phones via Nearby Sharing (QR pair, sync over local Wi-Fi).

Settings → Reset Data clears your in-app data without uninstalling. Or just uninstall VeroSpend — iOS removes the app's data container along with the app. Because there's no server, there is nothing else to delete.

You can hold accounts and transactions in multiple currencies. Tap the currency pill on the home screen to switch your display currency — VeroSpend converts on-the-fly using stored FX rates. Original currencies on the underlying transactions never change.
