Frequently asked questions
Can I play offline?
Yes. Campaign battles, Skirmish, research, the Codex, and local progress work without a connection. Game Center leaderboards, StoreKit purchases and restores, iCloud synchronization, and update checks require Apple services.
How do I win a battle?
Destroying incoming waves is not enough. Break the Rust Legion production buildings to remove the Overcore shield, then destroy the Overcore. You lose if your Command Core reaches zero health.
What is included for free?
Missions 1 through 8 stay free and replayable. One permanent Full Game purchase opens missions 9 through 60, every chapter, Endless Defense, Commander Trials, higher difficulties, all research branches, and the rest of the major modes.
Is the Full Game a subscription?
No. It is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple. The game has no subscription, ads, energy timer, countdown pricing, or loot boxes. Optional Gold packs are consumable purchases and do not unlock exclusive units, towers, or leaderboard score.
How do I restore the Full Game?
Open Settings or the in-game Store and choose Restore Purchases. Use the Apple Account that made the purchase. Consumable Gold packs cannot be restored after they have been delivered and used.
How does iCloud sync work?
When iCloud is available, the game synchronizes its profile through Apple's iCloud key-value store. This can include campaign progress, settings, research, currencies, cosmetics, and processed purchase identifiers. Local play does not wait for the cloud.
What does Game Center do?
Game Center authenticates through Apple and submits supported leaderboard scores, including the daily island time and Endless Defense results. You can play the game without signing in to Game Center.
How do I reset the game?
Open Settings > Reset to Factory Settings. This deletes local progress, research, currencies, cosmetics, settings, and local purchase records, removes the synchronized iCloud profile, and returns to the intro. A verified Full Game purchase remains in Apple's records and can be restored.
Does the game collect analytics or show ads?
No. The diagnostics event log exists only in the running app and is not sent to QnSub. The game has no advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK, cross-app tracking, or QnSub account.
