This is a plain-English explanation of what ChatScene does with your data. The short version: your fictional chat scenes are stored locally on your device. QnSub Tech does not run a ChatScene account server, does not sell your data, and does not use tracking, analytics, or advertising SDKs.
What ChatScene stores
ChatScene stores the following locally on your device so you can build and preview fictional chat scenes:
- Fictional messages — message text, sender direction, timing, delivery status, reactions, timestamps, and scene structure.
- Character and scene details — contact names, thread names, profile labels, phone UI settings, theme choices, and layout preferences.
- Selected images — profile photos and fictional chat attachment images that you choose from your photo library.
- Export settings — screenshot, playback, sound, watermark, and branding preferences.
Photos library
ChatScene lets you choose photos for fictional profile pictures and chat attachments. We only read photos that you select. Picked images are imported into the app so they can appear in your local scene and exported output.
ChatScene can also save exported screenshots or playback videos to your photo library when you choose to export them.
Camera
ChatScene does not need camera access for its core workflow. If a future version adds a camera picker, the camera would only be used for images you explicitly capture for a fictional chat scene.
Exports and sharing
When you export a screenshot or video, ChatScene creates the file on your device. If you save it to Photos or share it through iOS, the destination you choose controls what happens next. For example, sharing through Messages, Mail, AirDrop, Files, or a third-party app is governed by that service's privacy policy.
What we do not do
- We do not send real messages or connect to messaging services.
- We do not require an account.
- We do not track you across apps or websites.
- We do not use analytics SDKs.
- We do not use advertising SDKs.
- We do not sell or share your personal data.
Deleting your data
Because ChatScene is local-first, uninstalling the app removes the app and its local data container from your device. There is no ChatScene account or server-side scene database to delete.
Children
ChatScene is a creative tool and is not directed to children under 13. Users should avoid creating content that misleads, harasses, impersonates, or harms others.
Changes to this policy
If ChatScene's privacy practices change, we will update this page with a new effective date. Material changes, such as adding analytics, cloud sync, accounts, or server-side processing, would be reflected here.
